ITINERARY:

For your stay on your first day in Marrakech, we recommend you stay at the wonderful hotel LES JARDIN DE LA KOUTOBIA, which has royal, suites and luxury mini-suites, and one of its 3 panoramic restaurants offers the best views of Marrakech.

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Gorges

Pick-up from your hotel in Marrakech around 8:30/9:00 AM and start of the tour. Departure from Marrakech via the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, crossing the Atlas Mountains with stops to enjoy the magnificent views and rest along the way. We continue to Ouarzazate, where after lunch, we proceed to the village of Skoura, located in the heart of the Valley of the Palms, a vast and labyrinthine oasis whose lush vegetation shelters beautiful, hidden kasbahs (you can also visit its kasbah). From here, we continue through the Valley of Roses (famous for its rose cultivation) towards the Dades Valley, where we will visit its gorges. Dinner and overnight stay by the Dades River.

Accommodation, breakfast and dinner.

Day 2 Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we'll continue along the outskirts of Boumalne, where a road dotted with kasbahs (citadels) and ksour (fortresses or castles) opens up, its landscape a tapestry of ochre, red, and mauve. Around us, we'll encounter stony plateaus where dromedaries graze. After a journey through ksour, oases, and palm groves, we'll arrive in Tineghir (home to the spectacular Todra Gorge), perched at an altitude of 1,350 meters and surrounded by a palm forest. We continue towards Erfoud (the city of fossils) and, after passing through Rissani, we'll reach Merzouga, facing the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. At the hotel, we'll leave anything we don't need, and the dromedaries will be waiting to take us into the desert as the sun sets. We'll arrive at the tented camp in the heart of the high dunes (up to 150 meters), where we'll spend the night in a traditional Berber tent. Dinner and overnight stay in a tent under the desert stars.

Day 3 Merzouga – Rissani – N'kob – Ouarzazate

We'll rise early, and if the clouds permit, we may have the chance to witness the beautiful spectacle of sunrise over a sea of sand. After a hearty breakfast, we'll head towards Rissani, Morocco's first imperial city, to visit its legendary market. Then we'll continue on to Tazzarine, passing through Alnif, in the heart of the Mader River basin. Later, we'll travel towards the magnificent Draa Valley, renowned for its date palms and rich in date production. We'll enjoy a panoramic tour of the valley before crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains and arriving in Ouarzazate.

Day 4 Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

In Ouarzazate, if you're a film enthusiast, you can visit the studios where many famous Hollywood movies (Gladiator, Game of Thrones, etc.) were filmed. Next, we'll detour to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). You'll have free time to stroll through the Kasbah and climb to its summit for panoramic views. We'll then cross the High Atlas Mountains again, enjoying their stunning scenery. We'll arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.

Booking and payment conditions:
A minimum of 2 people are required to make the trip.
Maximum group size: 6 people.
To reserve your place, advance payment of the 50% amount is required.
The other 50% will be paid in cash and euros on the day the trip begins.
The stages described in the itinerary may be modified according to weather conditions.

Important:

All activities included in the travel program will be done privately.
The night you spend in the desert, you will not share a tent; you will sleep alone in a tent exclusively for yourselves.
If you wish to make any stops outside of those planned in the travel program, but within the itinerary to be followed, you may do so.
For lunch, we will take you to restaurants we trust completely.

It was a unique and unforgettable experience with Mohammed, our guide, who was always friendly, always providing timely, concise, and clear explanations. He answered any questions we had and was always willing to help. He is also an excellent driver. The hotels we chose were very good. The desert tents were lovely and charming, with private bathrooms and showers. Our hotel in the desert was the Nomad Palace, and it was wonderful in terms of location, food, staff, entertainment, and accommodations. The meals were also excellent. It's clear this company has experience because everything is well-organized and planned. As constructive criticism, I would suggest providing a speaker or microphone for the guide/driver in the van because those sitting in the back row can't hear the guide's explanations due to being too far away.  Verified From Fez to the desertWe decided to take a trip with friends to explore Morocco. We took the advice of Ismael, our guide, who planned the trip according to our preferences. We started in Marrakech, where he gave us a guided tour of the city, and afterwards we had free time which we used to go to the souk and try different food stalls. The next day we headed towards the desert, stopping along the way to visit Ouarzazate, Dades, the Todra Gorge, and more. In the desert, we did several activities: quad biking, visiting markets, watching sunsets, visiting nomads—in short, we loved it. We plan to repeat the experience to continue exploring Morocco, and we'll definitely do it again with ViajesDesierto, an experience we highly recommend to everyone.

AMy trip with ViajesDesierto.com was, honestly, one of the best experiences I've ever had.  Verified Meeting Ahmed has been the best part of the trip!We met Ahmed in Chefchaouen, at his shop in the medina. A wonderful place filled with objects that transport you to countless places and stories. But the best part, without a doubt, was meeting Ahmed and sitting down to chat with him. What a fantastic person! I'm already looking forward to going back and taking a trip to the desert, since we didn't have the chance this time. They picked us up at the airport, the service was excellent, and our driver, Ahmed, was the best. He went at our pace, catered to our requests for food, and took us wherever we wanted, without any rush. The experience was very good.
