Disfruta del interior de las murallas del siglo XVIII, de sus paredes blancas y azules, y de sus espectaculares casas, donde destacan sus puertas y ventanas labradas con delicados detalles.

Essaouira ha sido y sigue siendo un gran escenario de película, la fortaleza de la Skala (con sus dos torres defensivas), o de la kasba, han formado parte de la saga de JUEGO DE TRONOS, es donde Daenery Targaryen compra esclavos en el segundo episodio de la temporada. También puedes disfrutar de imágenes impactantes de la ciudad en la película Otelo del afamado Orson Welles.

En el norte de la ciudad encontrarás el antiguo barrio judío o Mellah, del siglo XVIII, con sus sinagogas Slat Lkahal y Simon Atta.

Otro de los mayores placeres de Essaouira es degustar un buen plato de pescado fresco o marisco. Bien preparado, como allí saben hacer, es un lujo saborear un pescado recién sacado del mar.

Fuera del casco antiguo amurallado, encontrarás una larguísima playa donde podrás, dar un excitante paseo en camello o dromedario, tomar el sol plácidamente, caminar, y sin duda, disfrutar de sus maravillosas puestas de sol (las mejores vistas las encontrarás desde la medina o desde la playa, con la silueta de la medina a la derecha).

Si, además te gusta practicar deportes como el surf o windsurf, gracias a los vientos que azotan Essaouira aquí podrás demostrar tus cualidades.

Más al sur encontrarás otras playas que visitar, como las playas de Diabat, Cabo Sim con sus grandes dunas y Sidi Kaouki, junto a un bosque de Tuyas. Esta última se encuentra a unos 26 kilómetros de Essaouira, una playa preciosa y relajada, imprescindible para los amantes del surf.

Si dispones de más días, debes visitar sin duda, los miércoles, el MERCADO BEREBER DE IDA OUGOURD, a tan solo 20 minutos de la ciudad. Es un típico mercado bereber, donde los vecinos se reúnen para vender sus productos, intercambiar noticias y saludar a sus amigos. Hay muchos que vienen desde lejos andando lentamente en sus burritos.

We are a group of seven friends who just returned from this wonderful desert trip. We took a five-day tour. It was a unique and unforgettable experience with Mohammed, our guide, who was always friendly, always providing timely, concise, and clear explanations. He answered any questions we had and was always willing to help. He is also an excellent driver. The hotels we chose were very good. The desert tents were lovely and charming, with private bathrooms and showers. Our hotel in the desert was the Nomad Palace, and it was wonderful in terms of location, food, staff, entertainment, and accommodations. The meals were also excellent. It's clear this company has experience because everything is well-organized and planned. As constructive criticism, I would suggest providing a speaker or microphone for the guide/driver in the van because those sitting in the back row can't hear the guide's explanations due to being too far away. Mohammed, our guide, repeated his explanations without any problem... but it's an issue that needs improvement.

From Fez to the desertWe decided to take a trip with friends to explore Morocco. We took the advice of Ismael, our guide, who planned the trip according to our preferences. We started in Marrakech, where he gave us a guided tour of the city, and afterwards we had free time which we used to go to the souk and try different food stalls. The next day we headed towards the desert, stopping along the way to visit Ouarzazate, Dades, the Todra Gorge, and more. In the desert, we did several activities: quad biking, visiting markets, watching sunsets, visiting nomads—in short, we loved it. We plan to repeat the experience to continue exploring Morocco, and we'll definitely do it again with ViajesDesierto, an experience we highly recommend to everyone.

The experience was fantastic from the start. They picked us up at the airport, the service was excellent, and our driver, Ahmed, was the best. He went at our pace, catered to our requests for food, and took us wherever we wanted, without any rush. The experience was very good. The only slight inconvenience was that we had to pay in cash, and we didn't travel with cash. We were able to resolve this with a Western Union transfer. Otherwise, the experience was excellent.
