Our first time in Morocco and the desert was an extraordinary trip! It was like an Indiana Jones adventure! It was a 5-day road trip visiting the North, South, East, and West of the country. We saw amazing places and met wonderful, friendly people! Each city we visited was like stepping into a different world, full of stories and amazing things.
We took the 2-day excursion to the Zagora desert, stopping in Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou, and spending the night in traditional Berber tents. There were seven adults and a 15-month-old baby in our group. The whole trip was fantastic. Our guide, Hamid, was wonderful and helped us with everything. They provided a car seat for our baby and answered all our questions. From the very beginning, Mila answered all our queries and helped with any request. We were lucky enough to have the camp to ourselves (which has excellent facilities), making everything even more special. Without a doubt, it was the perfect ending to a family trip we'll never forget. The places are spectacular, the people are incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious. We also want to highlight how well everyone treated the baby at all the places we stopped and how easy it was to heat up his food or bottles. A perfect 10 trip that we would repeat without hesitation.
I highly recommend doing the Morocco tour with them. It was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Ibrahim, was waiting for us at the agreed time to start the trip. We are a family that always travels with children, and one of them is a baby. They made sure to have the baby's car seat ready, and Ibrahim was always very gentle and patient with the children. The kids loved him. He also explained local customs, interesting facts about the places we visited, and answered all our questions. The van is large and comfortable. I want to give a special mention to Ibrahim, as he drives very well and I felt very safe throughout the entire trip. He was also incredibly patient with all the luggage we had and the baby stroller.
All the hotels included in the itinerary were beautiful and had excellent food. I must highlight how welcoming and friendly all the hosts and their staff were. Since we were traveling with children, Ibrahim adapted our itinerary by one day to make it more comfortable for them, and we visited one of the largest local markets in the country. It was a great decision to get off the beaten tourist track and see how the locals work and shop.
Breakfast and dinner are included in the tour, but all the places Ibrahim took us to eat are highly recommended. The food was delicious.
The highlight was the desert visit; it was an unforgettable experience. Driving a quad bike at sunset and watching the sun go down over a dune, and the fun camel ride to the Berber tent camp, were fantastic. The kids had a blast in the desert. If you're traveling with children, I highly recommend this experience; they loved it. We decided to return from the desert in a 4x4, which the kids absolutely loved.
In my case, I had never visited Morocco before and I am delighted with its people, its landscapes and its food.
We'll definitely be back with them!!
I took a 10-day family trip through Morocco from Marrakech to Fez, passing through the Merzouga desert.
It was an incredible experience thanks to ViajesDesierto, who organized everything down to the last detail. Even despite the sweltering August heat, thanks to our guide Ismail, we were able to enjoy ourselves and make the most of it. The best part was undoubtedly the days in the desert; you always want more.
Without a doubt, if we return to Morocco we will use ViajesDesierto again, but not in August.
